Trev ‘Ned’ Kelly shoots straight at Archerfield

With a shocking display of pure golf the 7/1 NAP shot to the top of the heap with 39 points. In a blanket finish of the favourites 8/1 McEwan & Melon took 2nd and 3rd on 35 points for the tricast while Davie Nicol (8/1) continued his run of top 4 finishes with 33 points. The 500/1 outsider from the Kelly stable commonly known as blind Danny shot somewhat more off target and romped to his second 24th spot. The occassion was marked with a presentation to Danny of a commemorative stamp with his initials, “NR”.

The loudest applause of the day was reserved for Leonard for having offered us his day. Let the begging for 2009 commence.

Peter Connolly graciously offered to fly us over to Florida for the September outing – Chelsea will be taking the deposits soon on confirmation of the available accomodation.
